I work for jetBlue as a leadership facilitator.
So what is a Facilitator? It’s like being a teacher, except that there is a heavy focus on the learner’s processing, both of the material and of their own experiences. My subject is leadership development and professional skills; such as problem solving and communication.
Why these? Because these are the fundamentals. Walt Disney was a genius, but he didn’t get anywhere until he learned how to deal with people. I think it should be possible for anyone to greatly increase their talent and accomplish very cool things. My career goal is to make something truly powerful in this area—be it a great book or a school.
Beyond that, I received my BA from Columbia University and then my MA from Columbia’s Teachers College. I have developed or delivered programs at Martha Stewart Omnimedia, MetLife, and Liz Claiborne Inc.
